This time we are going to talk about our best smartphone picks under Rs.35000 to Rs.10000. These are the smartphones that we recommend to all our readers.
Actually, we get a lot of requests about smartphones under various price ranges.
So we decided to post an article having the list of smartphones under 35,000 to up to 10,000.
We are not going to mention some brand smartphone models from some brands who are sort of finding out of the Indian market.
Also if a smartphone is not up to the mark then we will not include those also, for example, the smartphones having MediaTek chipset.
This is the price to performance criteria and every smartphone has some flaws so there is nothing like a perfect smartphone for a given price point.
We will also be mentioning what is the biggest con about that device so that you can make informed decisions.
The first smartphone that we have is the one plus 5 priced at Rs.33,000. We want to let you know that for the price of about 33,000 you are getting one of the best smartphones that are available for Android.
It has latest Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage hence the performance of the phone is actually very fast.
It runs on oxygen OS which is again very fast and fluent.
Regarding updates also, OnePlus has been very aggressive in pushing out updates.
In terms of the camera also OnePlus has improved a lot if you compare it with the OnePlus 3T and now it has a telephoto lens and the camera performances are also actually very good.
The price only is the call that we have noticed, it does not have any optical image stabilization.
If we shoot a lot of video up to 1080p it is fine but if we use 4k videos then the footage will not be that good.
This is the biggest con of OnePlus 5.
Still, my first pick would be OnePlus cell 5.
Originally when LG V20 was launched for 54000 in India but these days sometimes if you keep looking for deals it comes down to almost all 32000 to 33000.
So around this price point if you are a little bit more brand conscious you can also have a look at LG V20.
The build quality of LG V20 is amazing.
When we check on the larger side the sound output is actually very good.
Also in terms of camera, the camera performance is absolutely amazing and if you take a lot of video with your smartphone then you will love the manual controls that are on the LG V20.
LG smart phones updates are a bit slow and that UI looks like cartoonish but overall if you can look beyond that then LG V20 around 32000 to 33000 is also a very good smartphone.
Honor 8 Pro
If your budget is around rupees 30000 then you can go for Honor 8 Pro.
At the price of about 30000, as of now, in India, you will get the most hardware.
It has that Octa-core 960 processor with 6 GB of the RAM and 128 GB of storage. It also has a micro SD card slot, the second SIM slot can be used as an SD card so in terms of storage
In terms of performance, the performance of the phone is very good.
Honor 8 Pro has a 5.7-inch screen which is a quad HD display.
Moving to camera, Honor 8 Pro has become important these days among the camera. It has the dual camera setup and the camera performance of this device is actually very good considering the price point.
Overall a very good smartphone but these honor phones do not get software updates very fast, so regarding the update, it can be slow but overall for the price of about 30,000 as of now this one is absolutely good to go.
Now, if you don’t like Honor phones then the second option would be the OnePlus 3T.
It is also available for about 30000 but if you have to pick one between the OnePlus 3T and Honor 8 either go with the Honor.
So let’s move to the next one.
Moto Z2 Play
The next in the list is our Moto Z2 Play which is available for Rs.27,000.
The Moto Z2 play which is the successor to the Moto Z play that was launched last year.
It is a lot slimmer and easy to hand and the build quality is still absolutely good.
One thing that Motorola has improved in Moto Z2 Play compared to the original Moto Z play is that the rear facing camera has now been hugely improved.
If you are looking for a very slim smartphone and you want to add some mods at a later stage you can definitely have a look at the Moto Z2 Play.
Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro
If you are a Samsung fan and you should go for the Samsung Galaxy C7 pro.
The price of Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro has fallen to about 26,000 in India.
This smartphone overall performance is actually pretty good, it runs on Snapdragon 626 chipset which is similar to the Moto G2 play.
In terms of UI and the other general stuff, it runs well.
Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage and really this is one of those small Samsung smartphones that does not skimp on a lot of sensors so in that department also it’s actually pretty good.
The only con that we have found with this Samsung C7 Pro is the camera. If the camera is your highest priority then this Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro camera is sort of pretty average considering the price point of this device.
But if the camera is not your highest priority then you can go for the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro.
Now moving to slightly lower budget and this is for iPhone fans, we got the iPhone SE 32GB variant.
iPhone SE is selling in the offline market for around 24,000. When it was launched it was around 39,000. So the price has fallen.
We know it is a weirder choice but there are people who want a compact size smartphones.
If you are into that and love iOS then you can certainly have a look at the iPhone SE.
We would recommend do not buy the iPhone 5S now we have tested iPhone 5S with the latest IOS it was not a great experience.
We noticed quite a bit of lack in touch latency on the iPhone 5S so if you really want to compact size iPhone then go with the iPhone SE.
iPhone SE is available in three variants 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. We would suggest not to go for the 16GB storage still the price is around 20,000 but in iPhones, you cannot add storage.
As per our opinion, considering the minimum storage that everyone needs, you should go with iPhone SE 32GB variant.
Xiaomi MI 5
Next in the list is Honor 8 which is priced at Rs.18000.
When it was launched the price was around 29,000 last year but now it is selling for about 18,000.
We would say that no phone is a perfect smartphone there are also some pros and cons of Honor 8.
If you are the fan of styling and front facing camera performance is also very important to you then you can have a look at it.
But in terms of video the Honor 8, if you shoot a lot of videos the phone does not have stabilization.
To shoot static snaps then the Honor 8 has one of the best camera performance of its dual camera setup in this price range of around 18,000.
Moto G5 Plus
Now moving slightly even lower to around 17,000 rupees we have the Moto G5 Plus. There is also one more version of the Moto G5 Plus which is available for 15,000 but that has only 16GB of internal storage, so do not go for that and go with the 32GB of internal storage.
The rear facing camera of Moto G5 Plus has been improved quite a bit so if you take a lot of photographs from the rear facing camera then you can have a look at the Moto G5 plus.
The front-facing camera also has been improved.
The Moto G5 Plus does not have heating issues like the Moto G4 Plus launched last year.
If the camera is your high priority then you can have a look at the Moto G5 Plus and if you shoot videos up to 1080p with the Moto G5 Plus then also Moto G5 Plus comes out good because it employs electronic image stabilization.
Asus Zenfone 3
Our next choice is for rupees 16,000 this is the Asus Zenfone 3. When it was launched last year it was priced for Rs.27,000 but now the price down to 16,000 rupees.
Asus Zenfone 3 is also running on the Snapdragon 625 chipset so overall performance is actually very good and in terms of build quality, we would say the build quality is also very good.
The Asus Zenfone 3 in fact much better build quality compared to even the Moto G5 Plus and the camera is good enough.
If you compare the Moto G5 plus camera and the Asus Zenfone 3 then Moto G5 Plus front facing camera is better but overall in terms of build quality and if you like that glass back styling then you can have a look at Asus Zenfone 3.
As this is the Asus Zenfone so the UI is actually pretty cartoony so you might not like that but it depends on you.
Also in terms of software updates yes they are updating but they are not as fast as other vendors but still the Asus Zenfone 3 is also now a good choice at around 16,000.
Xiaomi MI Max
If you are more into the better build quality and you are sort of style conscious, then we have another phone for you. This is the Xiaomi MI Max. Also if you are looking for a big phablet size phone you can have a look at this.
Xiaomi MI Max priced at Rs.15,000 and you can go for it if you really want a phablet size phone.
Now if your budget is around the 14,000 price point and your highest priority is battery life then we would easily suggest you the Lenovo P2.
When it was launched I think of the price of the Lenovo P2 was around 17,000 but now the price has fallen to about 14,000 and at this price point, it is a very good smartphone.
In terms of looks it is something ordinary but in terms of the performance, this phone actually very good because of the Snapdragon 625 chipset.
It also has an AMOLED screen so in terms of screen quality it is much better than the Redmi Note 4 or even the Moto G5 Plus.
In terms of battery, the battery life is spectacular as it has a huge 5000 mAh battery and in our testing, we used the device quite a bit and it was easily giving around two and a half almost three days. So battery life is your highest concern then you can have a look at the Lenovo P2.
The build quality of Lenovo P2 is also very good.
But the biggest con that the Lenovo P2 has is the camera which is actually pretty average.
If you are very picky about the camera then you might not like it but apart from that, we would say it is a very good smartphone.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (4GB RAM, 64GB Internal)
Let’s move down to around the 13,000 rupees bracket, here we have the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
It has been a very popular smartphone by Xiaomi and at the 13,0000 rupees price point you get the higher-ranked variant that comes with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM.
Overall this is one of our favorite smartphones for the price to performance ratio.
It has the Snapdragon 625 chipset and it runs actually very well in hand, feel of the device is also very good and as it is a Xiaomi phone it does not skimp on sensors you get all the senses that you can expect.
It even has the IR blaster so you can also use it as a remote control of many devices.
The battery life is actually very good it was easily able to last us for about one and a half days to almost two days with our typical use. So in terms of battery life also it is very good.
We would say this is true value for money the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 still is a great smartphone.
Again the only con in this phone we found is its camera which is of pretty average but still is is a great smartphone.
Now we can go around the price point of about twelve to thirteen thousand and if camera performance is your highest criteria then we can recommend you to Honor 6X.
It is a great smartphone with the amazing camera performance. You get the dual camera setup here and the rear-facing camera performance for static pics is the best in the class at this price point nothing can touch it.
But in video quality, Honor does this, it does not have any stabilization so if you shoot a lot of videos then the video will be shaky but again if you just shoot a lot of static pictures than the camera quality is one of the best on the Honor 6X.
The overall performance of this phone is also good.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (3GB RAM, 32GB Internal)
Now moving down to the price point of about 11,000 rupees, at this price point we would first recommend you to the another variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
You get the 3GB RAM that comes with 32GB of storage for 11,000 rupees and at that price point, the amount of hardware that you are getting is sort of amazing. You get a good 5.5-inch display. The Redmi Note 4 has Snapdragon 625 chipset.
At 11,000 this is a good choice but again if the camera is your highest priority than it does not have the best rear facing camera.
We know that many of the people do not like the big screen of the phones and if you like slightly smaller size phones then you can have a look at the Redmi 4.
This one is having a 5-inch screen runs on the Snapdragon 435 chipset at 11,000 rupees you have the 4GB RAM variant that comes with 64GB of internal storage.
Also, the lower variant of the phone is available at Rs.9000 we have the same Redmi 4 that comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It totally depends on your budget for which version you will go.
The 3GB and 4GB both variant has the same specifications just there is a difference in their RAM and internal storage. You can decide as per your requirement which variant is better for you.
Other specification we feel that this phone has more than enough for most of the users and it is an excellent smartphone. We have already tested it and used it for over 10 days and satisfied with its performance.
As it is a Xiaomi phone so it does not skimp on any sense as you even get IR blaster and also a blazingly fast fingerprint scanner.
One thing that is surprising that the Xiaomi has improved the rear facing camera quality on the Redmi 4.
So in terms of camera performance also you will be happy with the Redmi 4. At 9,000 rupees we would recommend you to go for the Redmi 4.
These were some of the smartphone choices that we like and we can recommend to all our friends and relatives. Do let us know what do you think about the list and we hope you found this article helpful.
